Power Electronics & EV Charger Design
Simulation and design of DC-DC converters, inverters and EV chargers in MATLAB/Simulink, from topology choice to control loops, with training on Simscape Electrical.
For: Power electronics and EV teams, researchers and students
Aura Volt designs and simulates power converters for electric vehicles and the grid in MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape Electrical.
What we do
- DC-DC converters: buck, boost, bidirectional and isolated converters, including dual active bridge (DAB) and LLC resonant designs
- EV chargers: on-board and off-board chargers, power-factor-correction (PFC) front ends, CC-CV charging control
- Inverters: traction inverters with IGBT or SiC switches, multilevel inverters, grid-connected inverters
- Control and analysis: PI and resonant control loops, modulation (PWM, phase-shift), efficiency, switching losses and harmonics (THD)
- Toolbox training: building and debugging converter models in Simscape Electrical
Work we have done
- A 30 kW dual active bridge fast charger for two EVs (see the Virtual Lab)
- An 11 kW LLC resonant on-board charger and a bridgeless SEPIC PFC charger
- A 48 V to 12 V automotive buck converter, open and closed loop
- Cascaded H-bridge inverters with 7, 13 and 23 levels, and a grid inverter with AI-based control
How it works
- Tell us what you need through the enquiry form, a call or WhatsApp.
- We reply within 2 working days with questions or a written quote. Quotes stay valid for 15 days.
- Accept the quote on WhatsApp. We share the payment details there and start once the 50% advance is received.
- We deliver, and you pay the balance the same way.
The advance is refundable until work starts. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Questions
- Do you design the hardware or only simulate it?
- We design and verify the converter in simulation: topology, component values, losses and control. Hardware layout and testing are discussed case by case.
- Can you compare a switched model with an averaged model?
- Yes. We often build both: the switched model for ripple and losses, the averaged model for fast, long simulations.
- Is there a course for this?
- Yes. Power Electronics for EV Chargers is a 30-hour live course with a new batch every month.
