EV Motor Drives & Powertrain
PMSM, BLDC, induction and switched reluctance motor drives, regenerative braking and full-vehicle drive-cycle models in MATLAB/Simulink, with toolbox training.
For: EV and motor-control teams, researchers and students
Aura Volt models electric motors, their drives and the vehicle around them in MATLAB and Simulink, from motor design to range on a drive cycle.
What we do
- Motor control: field-oriented control (FOC) with MTPA and field weakening, six-step control, torque-sharing control for switched reluctance motors
- Motor design apps: our own MATLAB apps size PMSM, induction and SRM traction motors from 3.3 to 50 kW
- Vehicle models: two- and four-wheeler powertrains, regenerative braking, single-pedal driving and torque vectoring
- Drive-cycle studies: energy use and range on WLTP, UDDS and MIDC
- Toolbox training: motor and drive models in Simscape Electrical, control logic in Simulink and Stateflow
Work we have done
- A 23-level cascaded H-bridge inverter driving an IPMSM, run over a full WLTP cycle
- Single-pedal regenerative braking modelled on the Ather 450X scooter
- A switched reluctance motor drive where torque-sharing control cuts torque ripple sharply
- Torque vectoring for a multi-motor EV, and a BLDC drive with a SiC inverter
How it works
- Tell us what you need through the enquiry form, a call or WhatsApp.
- We reply within 2 working days with questions or a written quote. Quotes stay valid for 15 days.
- Accept the quote on WhatsApp. We share the payment details there and start once the 50% advance is received.
- We deliver, and you pay the balance the same way.
The advance is refundable until work starts. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Questions
- Which motor types do you work with?
- Permanent-magnet synchronous (PMSM and IPMSM), brushless DC (BLDC), induction and switched reluctance motors.
- Can you estimate the range of a vehicle?
- Yes. We run the full vehicle model on a drive cycle such as WLTP, UDDS or MIDC and report energy use and range.
- Is there a course for this?
- Yes. PMSM Motor Control (FOC) in Simulink and EV Powertrain Fundamentals are 30-hour live courses.
