EV Battery Modelling & BMS
Li-ion cell and pack models, state-of-charge estimation and cell balancing in MATLAB/Simulink, plus training on the battery toolboxes.
For: Battery and EV teams, researchers and students
Aura Volt models lithium-ion batteries and battery management systems (BMS) in MATLAB and Simulink, from a single cell up to a pack in a vehicle on a drive cycle.
What we do
- Cell models: equivalent-circuit and table-based models built from datasheets or test data, including temperature effects
- Pack models: series-parallel packs, cell-to-cell variation, heating and losses
- BMS algorithms: state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health estimation, available-power (SOP) limits, cell balancing, CC-CV charging and protection logic
- Test benches: charge/discharge and drive-cycle tests that check an algorithm before hardware exists
- Toolbox training: battery modelling in Simscape Electrical and BMS logic in Simulink and Stateflow
Work we have done
- A four-cell model comparing Samsung, LG, Panasonic and A123 cells under different C-rates and temperatures (see the Virtual Lab)
- An AI-assisted cell-balancing study for a four-cell pack
- Joint estimation of SOC, capacity, resistance and available power on standard drive cycles
How it works
- Tell us what you need through the enquiry form, a call or WhatsApp.
- We reply within 2 working days with questions or a written quote. Quotes stay valid for 15 days.
- Accept the quote on WhatsApp. We share the payment details there and start once the 50% advance is received.
- We deliver, and you pay the balance the same way.
The advance is refundable until work starts. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Questions
- Can you model a specific commercial cell?
- Yes, from its datasheet or your test data. Our Virtual Lab model compares four commercial 18650 and 26650 cells this way.
- Do you work on battery management system (BMS) algorithms?
- Yes: state-of-charge and health estimation, cell balancing, charge control and protection logic, built and tested in Simulink before they go to hardware.
- Is there a course for this?
- Yes. Li-ion Battery Modelling & BMS is a 30-hour live course with a new batch every month.
